So, in closing I would like to know suggestions for the first time stock purchaser, that is interested in purchasing VISA when it goes public.

1) Steps to do this?

2) Can you buy it online yourself without a broker?

3) Do you have to have a broker for a chance to purchase?

Thanks!

What happens to the stocks I own if the broker closes?

I’m wondering what would happen if my broker goes out of business. How would I go about having my shares transfered to a new broker? Would that broker charge me a fee to do so (what would this fee be called, and do you know if/what brokers charge it)?
