office contacted our landlord trying to convince our landlord to throw us out of the property and install a new tenant as our lease is due to expire this month. The broker was asking our landlord for a finders fee of several thousands of dollars. If the landlord does throw us out and rent to the new tenant will I have a viable lawsuit? These parties would never have connected without the introduction from the shady brokerage firm.

so slow. i don’t even make enough money to pay all of my rent, electric, etc. i have been borrowing money from my family. i do have a broker bond which i have to keep that money in there in order to do business. if they take it i won’t have any income at all. can they take it out? it’s about 5k.
there is no “account”. there is a company that holds the money in case something happens like i don’t pay a driver, etc.

I saw the cutest apartment for the right price. I called up the person on the listing and he says I have to pay, 1 month’s rent, the same amount for the deposit, and the same amount for a “brokers fee”. To my knowledge, broker’s fee is something like a fixed commission for his services, so why is he asking for so much?

With like 100 signs posted all over the city, the response has been HUGE with my “RTO&FOR RENT HOUSES” & “$500 MOVES YOU IN” signs. The only problem is from 800 calls ive only gotten 2 potential deals who dont have horrible credit, I need 640+ scores to qualify them and most ppl who call have 520’s if not lower, Im thinking about changing the signs from rental focus to straight “FOR SALE 4 BDRM HOUSE etc.” in order to maybe isolate those that already know their credit is too shot to call about buying a house, Besides doing this does anyone with experience with sign marketing have any suggestions. Thanx!
