sweetfromcali asked: So this may sound like a basic trivial question but I am in my mid 20’s and I don’t know much about brokers??? I do know my mom works with a real estate broker, there are loan brokers, insurance brokers and much more.. So… what are they exactly? Do you see my confusion? I just started with insurance and people tell me that they “work with a broker when they think about getting insurance”.
If someone can be so kind enough as to clarify in detail this broker business?
Thanks

My husband and I are looking to buy a business. Our first time to own a business. the current business owners real estate broker sent us to a mortgage broker she knows and we have looked into a morgage broker on our own, she keeps pushing us to the morgage broker she knows because as they say they already have all the info needed. Should we still look at the morgage broker we found as well or not?

I’m taking my broker exam in 2 weeks, and was wondering if I needed to get designation (ex. ABR,CRS) and become a member of a broker association in order to get sponsored and begin doing business? Is it advisable or can I wait?

My busines partner and Broker made a false report to the Real Estate Commission about me as an excuse to take over my business and drop my license. I have proof that everything he said was false and the commission agrees. Can I sue him for making a false report or should I just make a complaint to the board.

My fiance is considering becoming licensed to sell real estate. I am a first year law student. I have learned a little about real estate transactions and how they work. I understand the roles of both the broker and the attorney, but I’m wondering if my husband-to-be and I will be able to use our skills together to start our own business. Will I have to have a separate practice, or can the real estate lawyer be a part of the broker’s company?
