gregdaman925 asked: I was wondering what the difference was between a real estate broker and a real estate agent? How long would you have to go to school to be either one?
I pretty much got my answer to this question. Can a real estate broker act as both a broker as well as the agent? I plan on starting my own realty but want to do both jobs.

Curious asked: I am interested in getting licensed to be a sales agent - I just want MLS access, and be able to sell properties myself that I rehab. Am I required to be licensed if I want to sell my own rehabbed properties? And, if/when I do become licensed, am I required to work for a broker? I guess I just want to be licensed to have better knowledge, MLS access, and not have to work for a broker since I’m not looking really be an agent - just an investor. Can anyone help?

I am applying for a Real Estate License and I have to acquire a sponsoring Broker. My question is how are they compensated and/or do they get a percentage of your commissions? Exactly what role do they play in regards to a Real Estate Agent’s business when they are your Broker. All information regarding the Agent/Broker relationship would be greatly appreciated. Thanks…..
I live in Minnesota.

CSUflyer asked:
I have a degree in finance/real estate from major 4 year public university. I have about 2 years of somewhat irrelevant work experience doing administrative tasks in the work force. I am on track to be a licensed real estate agent for the state of Georgia in about 3 weeks among other resume builders such as a pilots license, etc. and am looking for a start in commercial real estate and possibly an ultimate career brokering busineses for sale. It seems difficult to find good info available on job descriptions. What are the best companies to look at? Anyone from the industry have any comments on the field? How about commission levels, etc? What’s a good path to take? Do you suggest jumping right in or starting in residential first? How about an internship or finding a mentor? Anything helps. Thanx!
