Curious asked:

I am interested in getting licensed to be a sales agent - I just want MLS access, and be able to sell properties myself that I rehab. Am I required to be licensed if I want to sell my own rehabbed properties? And, if/when I do become licensed, am I required to work for a broker? I guess I just want to be licensed to have better knowledge, MLS access, and not have to work for a broker since I’m not looking really be an agent - just an investor. Can anyone help?

My step-father is a Mortgage Broker and I was wondering if his business will pick up again?

Sorry I can’t go in detail about his job, because I have absolutely no idea what he does. I think it involves real estate.. Any who, my economic teacher said that Ben Bernanke said recession is very likely over. So, I’m assuming everything will be normal again and everyone will make money. True?

I guess I have 2 questions.

Thanks you!

Has anybody had a career as a real estate agent that they enjoyed?

I’ve done a lot of research and found out that a conventional banks will not give me a business loan unless I have a existing business and personal loans are usually maxed out around 25k which is a lot less than what I need(100k), I’m a homeowner and have a excellent credit history but still didn’t qualify for a home equity line of credit I guess they are just a thing of the past so I started to contact business loan broker that are willing to approve me for the amount that I need 100% unsecured but the have a large fee, Around 10% to 15% of the amount you are borrowing …so the question is are these brokers legit companies and is there any other option out there where it will not cost me 10k just to get a business loan???

Where is the best place to find larger businesses for sale?

I am not really interested in shops, bed and breakfasts or other types of small business.

My partner and I have up to £3 million to spend on a trading business for sale, I guess that means the annual turnover could be anywhere from £1m to £5m. I have looked at a few business broker sites and a couple of businesses for sale databases and not really been excited about what I’ve seen.

Any ideas?
