Sales of oil and ethanol to major gasoline companies and refineries internationally can be worth a lot of money over the short and long term over the years. How much can a broker make on commissions for the sale of such oil company refinery feedstocks, fuels? What is the percentage?

I want to leave E*Trade, since their commissions are eating me alive, and their basic platform is not as good as others.

In transferring to another broker, do I have to pay all the buy/sell fees? Can the stock its self change hands, or do I have to convert to cash, and then re-buy everything?

So what sort of license would I need if I went into business for myself? Can I just start drawing leases up and getting paid commissions for my service from the owners? I would imagine its not that easy. I currently have an illinois leasing license but I am required to be sponsored by a broker to rent apartments for owners.
