what does a California Broker have to do to terminate a salesperson?

OK, on the DRE website, I see that I can terminate a salesperson online. The question is, as a broker, do I have to have cause to terminate the salesperson or can I do it at will? Do I have to send a letter to the salesperson or fill out any paperwork?
