Bob G asked: so i am just thinking to create a brokerage/website where orders will cost a fixed $1 dollar. I know there are many expenses/problems, etc. I am just asking if you think customers will be attracted to such thing or they will stick to known names like etrade, scottrade, etc.

Lui$ asked: In real estate Business, what does it mean 100% commission offered by brokers to agents? Some employment adds post that the agent gets paid “100% commission” others say “100% commission (flat fee per transaction)”. Obviously the brokerage must make some profit. How? If paying 100% commission. If someone can explain how that works I will appreciate it.

Thomas T asked: I was working with another broker when a couple of my sales were done. I changed brokers during that time and thought I would get my split when the money went to the old brokerage. I saw that the sales were included in the productions list, but I still haven’t received my share of the commission. I have already tried calling and asking the broker. Is there any other way I can get my split?

Lynn H asked: I am a real estate agent in Minnesota. In the state of Minnesota I am required to have a broker hold my license. Thus, costing me a lot of money every month to be an employee of a brokerage. Are there any states that don’t require a broker to hold your license?

I have a great opportunity right now to take m y business to the next level. I recently moved to a “sleeper community” in other words there is a lot of stuff coming and happening in the near future. I have been selling real estate for 7 years now under a broker but now that I have moved there is NO real estate brokerage in the area! There are about 3 or 4 agents who live in the area but like me they work from another office located miles away. If I could get together the $ to get started I would be in a great position to dominate the market NOW before the boom starts! And it is going to boom! My personal credit has taken a beating over the years as my husband has had some serious health issues. If I can get this going it could change all that pretty quickly but getting start up cash is difficult. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated!

There are 2 of us recently hired to be executive assistants to an independent stock broker. He seriously is growing business, brand new office, etc. But how could we (assistants) promote his business besides cold calling? How to spread the word about his business face2face w/ people. It’s a lot harder to tell people in-person we’re not soliciting, but only introducing ourselves & what our boss does (then he talks to them) when we’re out in the field. We don’t tell people quotes or anything as we are not brokerage licensed. Thanks!
