Here’s how I’ve got owner names for my insurance business. Simply make a phone call to the business and ask if this would be a good time to talk to somebody about their business and that you are putting together a business guide. If not, ask for a better time to call. If so, then tell them that you are putting together a business guide - which you are doing by collecting information about the business. Ask about the business - I’m sure you will get tons of information - you might even ask if they are planning on expanding or are selling their business - which fits you exactly. Finally, get the name of the owner(s).
Don’t be shy about doing this since most good businesses want you to know about them. It’s a great way to meet contacts. You might even ask for a personal visit if you find an immediate need.
