How and about how much per employee are broker/agents compensated for selling ASO health coverage to large employers who self insure and use a large National carrier like United, Aetna or BCBS to administer the coverage?

    Usually its X amount per person. Like $20 a head. But there is a wide variety of factors involved. KG Mom

    It’s generally a %age amount, not per head. Or per fee basis. this “fee” or commission is built into the cost of the plan. I’m in the middle of renewals right now and my company, a brokerage usually charges a 5% on medical. Hope that answers your question. blonde bob
