Does it worth to apply a broker license to sell your own properties ?

Angie S asked:

My brother is looking to sell his own properties but did not want to pay much on commission . So his wife applied for a broker license.

But after she got my broker license , they went into a situation that needs a lot of money , so they want to sell their 3 properties .

After more than 6 months ,they still did not sale our properties yet . I wonder is that because buyers don’t like to buy house from broker’s own properties ??

Any advice on this situation ?

There’s a lot more to selling a house than having a license. A lot more. open4one

There is not enough information here.

Is she throwing the homes on the MLS and hoping someone sells it? If he did not want to pay much on commission, I assume he does not want to pay much for advertising, and that can sell the properties. If the buyers can’t find them, they can’t buy them.

Some buyers are leery of BOPs, but most don’t care.

The properties may not be priced competitively in the market, and taking a realistic look at a CMA may be in order. godged
