Dilbert asked: They want people to sign up to use them as buyer’s agent, so why not motivate those people with impossible short sales, and try to sell them other property while they wait forever for the short sale to be approved?
How common is that?

Angie S asked: My brother is looking to sell his own properties but did not want to pay much on commission . So his wife applied for a broker license.
But after she got my broker license , they went into a situation that needs a lot of money , so they want to sell their 3 properties .
After more than 6 months ,they still did not sale our properties yet . I wonder is that because buyers don’t like to buy house from broker’s own properties ??
Any advice on this situation ?

dozertank asked: I am looking into buying my first home. I live in Ontario Canada, and everyone is telling me to go to a mortgage broker. I thought I would have to go the bank first to see what I qualify for. Is a mortgage broker and a bank, the same thing? I also heard something about a ‘first time homeowner’ thing that is also available. I am so clueless about this and I don’t want to get ripped off. Please tell me what steps I need to take to finally get out of this stupid apartment.

However, I would love to get some insight from anyone who has experience in this field. Can you help me out. This could be a big career move, but could also be a great one. Thanks for any help!

Shaina asked: I need to move into a city atmosphere for a new job and I’ve noticed that every business/store has several apartments above it. I am curious as to how you contact a realtor/broker about these areas. I’m also assuming that most of these apartments are cheaper than renting from an actual apartment complex…please correct me if I’m wrong! Thank you for your help!

creeese asked: I know in some states you’re required to work for 2 years as a salesperson before being “allowed” to become a broker. In Illinois, is it possible to skip the whole sponsoring thing and go directly from getting a sales license to taking classes for a broker’s license?
Can your first EVER interview with a real estate firm be as a licensed broker, or are you forced to start at the bottom?

Sam B asked: What are the “standard” real estate broker fee percentages in Colorado for vacant land or existing homes? Are these set by law, or can they vary from realtor to realtor?
